January 7, 2009 - Wind Simplicity Wins Green Dot Award
Wind Simplicity, the Canadian designer and manufacturer of the high-efficiency, compact, noise-free Windancer™ small wind turbine, announces it took out first place in its category in the 2008 Green Dot™ Awards.
The Green Dot Awards (GDA) was established to reward and promote forward-thinking businesses that create environmentally friendly products or services, and to reward revolutionary green proposals. The GDA aims to bridge the gap between truly innovative businesses that practice excellence in environmental responsibility and international consumers and media.
Wind Simplicity CEO and Inventor Sharolyn Vettese said she was delighted that an independent panel of industry experts agreed on the merits of the Windancer.
“The compact Windancer was made to be close to users – homeowners, condominium dwellers, industrial, commercial and off-grid users - it operates with negligible noise and vibration and its multiple blades can be seen by birds,” said Ms. Vettese.
“My father and I Dr. Alfred Mathieu, Wind Simplicity President and Inventor, are very pleased that our design has been recognized because the Windancer is an attractive, small wind turbine that enables individuals to produce their own free, pollution-free electricity onsite, enabling them to save money and the environment at the same time.”
The Windancer’s exclusive safety features facilitate municipal approval and it can be colour customized.
